Exfoliating Pads tend to be more helpful than other chemical peels in treating acne, particularly blackheads that don’t respond to anything else. They are also effective treatments for people with sensitive skin and have not been known to cause any depigmentation.
Directions
Use Exfoliating Pads only in PM regime
- Before applying Exfoliating Pads your skin must be cleansed and primed.
- Make sure the disc is moist – turn jar upside down or swish.
- Apply on all areas with light pressure in a circular motion.
- Give it a minute or few to work its magic before applying your moisturizer or treatment.
HOME REGIME STEPS.
AM – Cleansing ==> Toning ==> Exfoliating ==> Moisturizing ==> Makeup (try to avoid)
PM – Cleansing ==> Exfoliating Pads ==> Spot Treatment ==> Pro-Grade Topical Cream
Warning: Don’t use any other exfoliants (peels, scrubs, and brushes) together with our recommended regime. The biggest mistake people make when using peel pads is over-exfoliation with a facial cleansing brush, like Clarisonic or other abrasive cleansers.
TIPS:
- If you have sensitive skin, use it every other evening, then gradually increase to every day if needed.
- Use Sunscreen. Since the acids remove dead skin cells – exposing new skin and leaving it more sensitive to light—go with at least SPF 50. (ColorScience). Use it even on a cloudy day.
- Like other powerful ingredients, your skin may need a few weeks to adjust, so start by using pads every other night, only working your way up to every night once your skin becomes acclimated to it. (Once you notice less tingling, you can ramp up your usage). If you notice any kind of irritation or pain and need relief stat, just splash cold water on your face few times. This will stop the acid from continuing to penetrate your skin until you work up more of a tolerance.
- Exfoliating Pads is a low-irritation acid and post-care will be minimal. Keep your skin moisturized with a quality, healing product.
What can you expect from Exfoliating Pads?
Because Exfoliating Pads are so mild, there is very little downtime associated with the peel. Rarely some people may experience having pink, dry, and flaky skin in some places.
Some people might experience some post-peel purging. As the acid exfoliates away the surface of your skin, it brings clogs you have underneath closer to the top, which may erupt as active pimples.
Like all products, Exfoliating Pads take time to work. It takes around 2 weeks to one month, depending on the type and strength, after the peel to see the full effects of the peel. Even if your skin doesn’t look like how you expected it to look right after you finish your peel, don’t be too disappointed. Your skin will continue to improve in the coming weeks if you’ve taken care of it properly, even if it seems like the peel didn’t work!

Why Exfoliation?
Regularly gentle exfoliation a few times in a week is a key step in our Acne Solution Regime. The idea behind using Exfoliating Pads to treat acne is that they help shed the outer layer of your skin faster. That way, the gunk trapped inside your pore will come to the surface more quickly. The acids in Exfoliating Pads can also help dry up active acne and dissolve sebum and clogs. In general, peels smooth out your skin and fade red acne marks, so even if they don’t treat active acne, they may help your skin look better overall.
It is much more effective than using a strong chemical peel once in 2-4 weeks. Exfoliating Pads followed next morning with our Mediterranean (Herbal) Scrub is a great way to dissolve sebum, cemented dead cells and remove them from pores and skin surface. It will prevent acne formation, renew cells, maximize penetration of other products, reduce fade scars and hyperpigmentation.
Other benefits of exfoliation:
- Brighten and smooth the skin
- Fade dark spots, pigmentation and acne scars
- Clear and prevent acne breakouts
- Diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Improve skin hydration
